The first perspective I read was "Away from Icebergs" - I understand what he is saying, but I found it very depressing. I think there is great value "library collection." I think our patrons love the idea of books in the printed sense. I can see where some patrons are doing everything electronically, but I think there is plenty of room for both to exist.

The second perspective I want to respond to is "To A Temporary Place in Time"
I enjoyed reading this and I agree. LIke I said above there is room for both, and the library can be a focal point in it all.

I played around with Technorati, and I understand how this works.
However, I don't want anything I write tagged, and I really don't see myself going to see what other people have blogged about that much. I don't know, maybe I will find more uses for it in the future, and in that respect I am glad that I am now more familiar with how it works.

I think this is something I can see myself doing to keep track of my favorite websites
It was really interesting to learn about different ways of keeping track of things.

I've been away from this too long, because of the change in branches, vacation, etc. But I just went and did a google search for library blogs and I found some neat and intersting stuff, including: www.libdex.com/weblogs.html
